Our Houses
You will find Petrolo in the heart of Tuscany, placed on the hills of Val d’Arno di Sopra on the southeastern side of Chianti Classico, in a lovely quiet area full of charm and history.
We are between Florence, Siena and Arezzo, only 30-45 minutes away, an ideal base for discovering Tuscan renowned history, art, food and wine being able to get back to Petrolo to relax, soaking-in the natural comfort of authentic country-life, adding maybe a dive in our swimming pools or reaching the near Thermal Baths.
Our holiday farm is placed in the municipality of Bucine and welcomes guests in the large luxury Villa built in the first decades of 1700 by the artist Massimiliano Soldani Benzi, and other 5 surrounding farmhouses with 4 swimming pools. The holiday houses of Petrolo are all independent, they are set in an unaffected charming area, encompassed by organic olive groves, well-tended vineyards, and vast oak woods, as well as three small private lakes.
Landmark of the estate is the splendid medieval watchtower of Galatrona dominating Petrolo and surrounding hills while precious renaissance artwork by Giovanni Della Robbia can be found in the old Parish Church of Galatrona, facing Villa Petrolo.
Our winery passionately produces low yield Award-Winning Wines and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
